Turn 1
So, we have our target! Our brave (or foolish?) Fighter (L1) is taking on a Wolf (L2).
Let's check the stats:
Our Fighter has:
Combat result: Notice the green tick in the top left corner of the Wolf's square. This means OK - no-one dies in this combat!
So, let's think ahead. Ignoring the Wolf's Attack Down ability, in 2 blows:
Let's check the stats:
Our Fighter has:
- Health: 13 / Attack: 5
- Health: 10 / Attack: 5 / Ability: Attack Down
Combat result: Notice the green tick in the top left corner of the Wolf's square. This means OK - no-one dies in this combat!
So, let's think ahead. Ignoring the Wolf's Attack Down ability, in 2 blows:
- Fighter: Health: 13 - 5, - 5 = 3
- Wolf: Health: 10 - 5, - 5 = 0 = Dead!
Turn 2
So, one mighty clash of steel and fangs later, both sides have lost 5 health.
The Wolf's Attack Down ability has given the Fighter an Attack Down effect (red background in the ability bar). The effect is -1 (top) for 3 turns (bottom).
Now, the Fighter will need 2 more turns to kill the Wolf, which he won't survive (the Wolf will do another 10 damage to the Fighter, which is more than the 8 health he has left).
But the Fighter has a solution! If we activates his Bash ability, it will give him +1 attack strength, making up for the attack he lost. So he activates it, at a cost of 10 energy.
- Fighter: Health: 13, - 5 (Wolf attack) = 8
- Wolf: Health: 10, - 5 (Fighter attack) = 5

Turn 2b
The Fighter calls upon his training and prepares for a mighty blow! He activates his Bash ability (which is highlighted Green in the ability bar). Notice the +1 attack bonus at the top of the ability icon.
The Fighter's attack increases back to 5. That's now enough to kill the Wolf in one blow.
Combat result: Notice the red crossed-swords in the top left corner of the Wolf's square. This means Victory! - the Fighter will win (and survive) after the next blow.
So, the Fighter attacks once more...

Turn 3
Our brave Fighter runs the evil Wolf through, leaving a pool of festering blood seeping into the Forest floor!
The combat proceeded as follows:
However, the Wolf caused another Attack Down effect on the Fighter, which is noted in his ability bar, with a total effect of Attack -2. The Fighter will fight with these penalties for 2 or 3 turns. The Fighter could tap and hold on the red icon to get full details of his new disability!
So that's it! Our brave Fighter has triumphed! Will you be so lucky...?
